Do I have to pay a deposit to make a reservation?
To make a reservation, we require a deposit of €50 per person.
This deposit will be deducted from the total amount at the end of your visit.

Is it possible to accommodate allergies and/or dietary requirements?
For most allergies and dietary requirements, we can make adjustments to the menu.
Elements may be modified, substituted, or an entirely different dish may be served.
Please let us know when making your reservation so we can provide you or your guest with a complete and satisfying dish.

Can i make a reservation for the terrace?
You cannot make a reservation specifically for the terrace.
The service team will make an estimation of the weather.
We will then only serve inside or only serve outside.
Can you serve something special for a birthday or anniversary?
How wonderful that you would like to celebrate your special occasion at our restaurant.
If desired, we would be happy to include an additional dessert in your menu to mark the occasion.
This festive extra dessert is shown in the photo next to this text.
We charge €15 per person for this dish.

Can I make a reservation for a large group?
The restaurant consists of three adjoining rooms.
For large groups, these spaces are only available on an exclusive basis.

Is it possible to have meetings in the castle?
The castle offers two meeting rooms:
The ‘Green Room’, suitable for groups of up to 8 people,
And the ‘Blue Room’, which can accommodate meetings of up to 15 people.
Both rooms are set up in a boardroom configuration.
A meeting package and a projector with screen are available as optional add-ons.
Use of the rooms is always offered in combination with lunch or dinner.

Is the restaurant child friendly?
Children that order of the regular menu are more than welcome.
We are not equipped to accommodate young children.
There are no high chairs available, and we do not offer a children’s menu.
Due to limited space, strollers are also not permitted.
Is the restaurant wheelchair friendly?
The bridge leading to the restaurant has a few steps.
Fortunately, we have an outdoor lift that can provide access to the entrance.
Please let us know when making your reservation if you will need to use the lift.
One of our staff members will assist you with its operation.
May I bring my own bottle of wine?
It is possible to bring your own bottle of wine.
Per opened bottle of 750ml, €50,- corking fee will be charged.
Can I already view the wine list?
We can imagine that you are curious about our wine list.
You can already view it before you restaurant visit on the website of Star Wine List.

May I organize a photoshoot in or around the castle?
Unfortunately, it is not permitted to have a professional photoshoot in or around the castle.
In addition to the restaurant, there are other companies situated in the building.
To guarantee the privacy of visitors and employees, we kindly ask you not to take photos.
Is there a dress code that I have to adhere to?
We do not have a dress code for our guests.
However, swimwear is not desired.
Till what time do you serve lunch/dinner?
Lunch starts at 12:00 o’clock and is serve until 16:30 o’clock at the latest.
We then close the restaurant briefly for dinner preperations.
At 18:00 o’clock we openen the doors for our evening guests.
In the evening we serve a final round at 23:30 o’clock before closing.
What is the best way to get to the restaurant?
From the A27, take exit 29 and drive along the bicycle street to the castle.
Next to the castle is a large parking lot that offers enough space for our guests.
Due to the remote location of the castle, public transport is limited.
You can reach the center of Houten by train, after which a taxi is recommended.
Would you like to go home by taxi after your visit to our restaurant?
Our service team will be happy to arrange a taxi for you at the desired time.
We can also recommend using a Euro BOB.
They offer a service where you are driven home in your own car.
Is it possible to stay overnight in the castle?
There is no possibility to stay overnight in Kasteel Heemstede.
There are however a number of hotels nearby that you can stay at.
Is my dog welcome in the restaurant or on the terrace?
Dogs and other pets are not allowed in the restaurant or on the terrace.
An exception is made for service dogs.
Please indicate this when making your reservation.
